Interior and Exterior Panels
Two types of panels are manufactured at
Khrome: interior panels in FRP with TEDLAR film application andgel coat
and/or painted exterior panels (LRV trains).
Khrome has the experience and enjoys being part of the initial design
process to help save the customer on tooling and parts costs, while
providing a superior quality final product.
Khrome has the expertise to manage the interface between our panels, the structure, but also all the items behind the panels or assembled on the surface of the panel. We can also replaced in record time a thermoplastic design if this one has been refused by the authority by an FRP design with TEDLAR meeting all the requirements.

We can fabricate every can of panel and validate the strength of the panels through product cycling tests in order to demonstrate the resistance capacity.
ALSTOM (Ottawa and Toronto) currently has 119 cars
equipped with these panels.
Exterior
Khrome manufactures several types of panels.
FRP IN LRTM OR RTM MODE:

NOTE: The surface finish is related to the customer’s requirements and the level of gloss required.
THERMOPLASTIC:
With TEDLAR or PVDF
We thermoform all types of thermoplastics currently on the market from 0.5mm to 6mm thick.
